Long Awaited 'Sex'

HBO’s groundbreaking television series turned movie Sex and the City hit the big screen Friday, and grossed an estimated $55.7 million its opening weekend. ‘Sex’ reached number one at the box office, which upset Harrison Ford’s Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Scull, Variety reported.

Sex and the City began where the six-season series left off. All four main characters found love, and now sex-columnist turned Vogue editor and author Carrie Bradshaw writes a book trying to answer the question: “What happens after you’ve found Mr. Right?” The answer: an emotional and nearly two and a half hour epic.

‘Sex’ ran long, but will not disappoint devoted fans. More exciting than the plot or any subplot; however, is the on screen banter between the four leading ladies, which is reminiscent of the original Sex and the City series.
